Our Teachers

Allison has over 12 years of experience in education. She has worked as a classroom teacher in both public and charter schools, private tutor, ESL program coordinator, educational research analyst, and instructional coach. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in World Politics and Foreign Languages, and Masters degrees in both Teaching and Education Policy.

In addition to running The Customized Classroom, Allison currently also works as an educational consultant and Director of Curriculum. Allison believes that all students have unlimited potential, and that effective teaching strategies within positive, welcoming, intentionally designed and inquisitive learning environments can unlock that potential. For this reason and many more, she is thrilled to be both heading and teaching for The Customized Classroom.

Jodi has 15 years of math instructional experience in both private tutoring and teaching in public schools. She specializes in grades 7 to 12 mathematics, including Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Precalculus. She also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Master of Education degree.

Jodi’s teaching philosophy is simple: every student can succeed in math with the right support. She focuses on building confidence, strengthening problem solving skills and making challenging concepts clear and approachable. Her goal is to help students not only improve their grades but also develop lasting skills that they can carry forward.
