2. Customize the Plan
Before the course begins, you and your child will meet with an experienced educator for a Customized Learning Conference. During this session, we’ll assess your student’s current academic level, understand their learning style and preferences, and use that insight to finalize course selection and adapt the selected course to support their strengths, growth areas, and personal goals. We will also determine which individualized materials we should order using their “Just for Me” fund.
3. See the Growth
As your student completes their course, we’ll check in with a short follow-up meeting to review what they’ve learned, share final assessment results or their finished project, and reflect on next steps. This Goals Assessment helps you see your student’s progress and make confident choices about where to go next.
What is the “Just for Me” Fund?
Each time a student enrolls in a course, they receive $10 automatically added to their personal “Just for Me” Fund. Parents may also choose to add to the fund if desired.
This fund is used to purchase tailored learning materials – such as vocabulary flashcards, educational apps, student-selected books, workbooks, and games, that support your child’s academic goals and personal interests.
After the Customized Learning Conference, your child’s teacher will recommend specific items from our curated catalogue. We also maintain a shared resource library and reuse materials when possible to ensure the fund is spent wisely.
